An increasing trend in information governance and eDiscovery is the need for an Information Governance Committee. Over the past decade, most value propositions explaining the issues around eDiscovery and Information Governance have focused on bridging the gap between Legal and IT. With the Information Governance Stakeholders’ Committee, that bridge has now been built across multiple departments within an organization out of necessity and due to the complex data challenges the digital explosion presents. Organizations, regardless of size and vertical, are working through how to form this committee and how to properly tailor workflows to address the challenges of the digital explosion. All relevant stakeholders take part in this process.
